This cover design was inspired by German Expressionism of the early 20th Century, in particular the highly stylised and distorted expressions of form.

Taking cues from woodblock printing, the linocut illustration uses contrast and negative space to depict a monstrous, distorted shadowy form cast from the hands of the creator.
